Drift Stage Vol. 1

Released

One of the premier shredwave musicians, Hugh Myrone takes the sunny eighties sounds of City Pop, the Outrun OST, and Vai-era David Lee Roth and combines them for maximum fun. Drift Stage, Vol. 1 was supposed to be the soundtrack for a Kickstarter video game that turned out to be mostly vaporware. Fortunately, the score still exists. This takes his talents to the speedway for eleven circuits around the track, each one capturing a different aspect of the thrilling chase. Opener “Drift Stage Theme” kicks things off to an exciting start, “Clear Eyes Clear Skies” shows off his ability to swiftly change gears on the fretboard, and “Exclusive Coupe” glides across the finish line smoothly. It’s one sexy ride.
