King Size Dub Special: Illbilly Hitec (Overdubbed by Dub Pistols)

Released

Try not to be put off by their terrible band name: during their all-too-brief career, Illbilly Hitec made some of the world’s best electronic reggae music. Of course, maybe you think “electronic reggae music” doesn’t sound very enticing — fair enough. But I’d recommend giving these guys a try. There’s nothing cold or stiff about their grooves, and on this collection they bring in a wide variety of singers and chatters who perform in a variety of languages. The program is continuously mixed by Dub Pistols, which gives the album just that much more to recommend it.
