The last album completed before Trish Keenan’s death in 2011, Mother Is The Milky Way is somewhere between a mini-LP and a mixtape. As far as I know, this was made by Keenan and James Cargill, and nobody else. Keenan sings and talks over a patchwork of samples and quotes from what seem to be Czech films and cartoons, bits of found music and processed loony tunes. Considering how many people went in this direction, this might have the most cultural impact of all Broadcast albums, weirdly.
