Murder of the Universe

Released

The three suites that make up the rocket-powered opus Murder of The Universe are explorations into the darkest corners of King Gizzard’s psyche. Both a loving celebration and a grotesque perversion of 70s concept albums, the songs are covered in ripped apart flesh (“The Tale of The Altered Beast”), fire and brimstone (“The Lord of Lightning vs. Balrog”), and — no other way to put this — vomit from a robot that covers and smothers the entire universe (“Han-Tyumi and The Murder of the Universe”). Each story is wrapped in gory tragedy, but the music is a thrilling psych metal concrete that keeps blood flowing in more ways than one. Fun for the whole family.
