Rings Around the World

Released

Following their Welsh-language release Mwng, Super Furry Animals wanted to make a big mark with their first full major label release. They did that and then some, with Rings Around the World being a kaleidoscopic overview of the band’s expansive blend of sonic styles fused together into something that was wholly themselves. Whether the sweeping, near Barry White level lushness of “Juxtaposed With U,” the wry country twang of “Run Christian Run” or the increasingly frazzled stomp of “Receptacle for the Respectable,” it’s SFA at its finest.
