Spiritchaser

Released

The final Dead Can Dance album Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry recorded for a decade and a half, Spiritchaser is also notable in that many though not all of the performers from their touring band in recent years took bows on two songs on percussion, though as ever the primary work was done by the two core performers. In some ways Spiritchaser feels like a more relaxed Dead Can Dance, less shot through with gothic drama in favor of contemplation and exploration, but it is still uniquely Gerrard and Perry, their voices as rich as ever, on this temporary bowing-out.
