Steve Roach: Streams & Currents

Released

Such is Steve Roach’s productivity that it can sometimes seem releases blend into each other, but what’s more truly notable is the distinct edge or point of interest that he puts into his formal releases, where there can be thematic connections while retaining an individual character. 2002’s Streams & Currents is an excellent example of this in practice, with Roach using treated electric guitar as core to one of his most involving but also most low-key ambient efforts, giving a sense of real flow into and through a boundless space.
