I am upset because I see something that is not there.

Fire-Toolz’s exploration of recombining sounds, styles and tastes kept continuing brilliantly with their early 2023 album. That I am upset starts with “It Is Happening Again (Thank You, Council of Saturn)” with a now near-trademark Angel Marcloid instance of perfect manipulation – black metal shrieked vocals, perfect cheese guitar solos, late 80s mainstream electro-gloss and general chaos that is strangely, uniquely catchy – is apt, and that kind of flowing evolution continues all the way through the concluding power-ballad-as-such “Novaturient Wave-Form Collapse.”
