The Pod cover

The Pod

Released

With a cover happily riffing on Leonard Cohen’s earliest greatest hits collection — festooning his figure with a terrible wig and a mask for inhaling any number of possible substances — Ween’s continuing quest to pretend they weren’t really good musicians via goofy at-home recordings and songs about pollo asado and pork roll egg and cheese (and much more beyond the realm of food) continued apace. As before they also attempted just every genre — the power metal madness of “Sketches of Winkle” has to be heard to be believed.
