Front 242 ending up on a major label by 1990 was one of those weird developments that seemed impossible to predict, but after Front by Front there really was nowhere to go but up. That said Tyranny (For You), while the band’s biggest success in the US, doesn’t quite have the power of that earlier album, relying instead of remarkable high points through. Lead single “Tragedy (For You),” a pounding anthem with a (for them) surprisingly varied vocal approach, is certainly one of them, while other songs like “Rhythm of Time” and “Neurobashing” keep pace.
