Very cover
Released

Following the first of their many greatest hits albums, Very turned out to be a remarkable new high point for the Pet Shop Boys, an overtly splashy, downright exuberant electronic dance pop album, though one that carefully conveyed rage and social criticism, as on “The Theater,” as much as they always had. Their album closing cover of the Village People’s “Go West” was an astonishing highlight while other singles like the domestic drama “Can You Forgive Her?” and the snarky as heck “Yesterday When I Was Mad” ranked up there.
