Viral Wreckage

Beginning with the perfectly titled “Stuttrap,” sounding just like the combination of styles and approaches it signifies as Aunty Rayzor’s voice cuts across the intense arrangement in a variety of ways, Viral Wreckage is a gripping example of 2023 music, a triple helix of worldwide hip-hop, Afrobeat and r’n’b intensity. The Nigerian artist works with a wide variety of collaborators to further extend her vision: among them, Slimcase adds some sharp vocals on the beautiful bounce of “Doko,” while guitarist/singer Titi Bakorta’s two appearances are equally compelling.
