Vivaldi: L’Estro Armonico cover

Vivaldi: L’Estro Armonico

While the Four Seasons keep Vivaldi famous today, it was the set of 12 violin concertos titled L’estro armonico that initially propelled him to renown. They circulated all over Europe, and still lead an afterlife, especially as pedagogical pieces for Suzuki violin students. These pieces are lightweight, not meant to take up a whole afternoon, and Brecon Baroque’s choices are satisfyingly brisk, lively, and unpretentious.
