Walk Among Us

Released

Absorbing the lingering radiation of the Atomic Age, suburban New Jersey outcasts painted their faces like what was underneath and spat out chaotic songs about fifties monster flicks in the style of fifties rock ‘n’ roll only without the limiters on. Or any real instrumental prowess. Fronted by beefcake (and future Elvis impersonator) Glenn Danzig, their first (released) full-length is as potent a piece of punk rock to come out of the Garden State. Fun-sized treats like “20 Eyes,” “Hatebreeders,” and “Skulls” mirrored the concurrent slasher movie craze by being low-budget, brutal — and a gory blast.
