Adam and the Ants formed in London in 1977 around singer Adam Ant. Their three studio albums were Dirk Wears White Sox (1979), Kings of the Wild Frontier (1980) and Prince Charming (1981). Ant went solo in 1982 with Friend or Foe, retaining guitarist and songwriting partner Marco Pirroni.
