Béla Bartók

Béla Bartók (1881–1945) was a Hungarian composer, pianist and ethnomusicologist. His study of folk music helped shape a distinctive modernist language, heard in six string quartets, concertos, orchestral works and the opera Bluebeard’s Castle.
