Heath Quartet

The Heath Quartet has become a significant British chamber ensemble, both in its close association with programs at Wigmore Hall, and as part of the faculty of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The group was formed in 2002 at the Royal Northern College of Music, with a repertoire that ranged from Beethoven to Bartók. It was chosen to be part of the Emerging Talent scheme at Wigmore Hall, and was represented by the Young Classical Artist Trust. In 2013, the group also won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Young Artists Award. The group's 2015 release of Tippett's string quartets on Wigmore Hall LIVE won the 2016 Gramophone Award for Chamber Music, and led to an album of two of Tchaikovsky's string quartets and a live Bartók cycle on Harmonia Mundi, recorded at Wigmore Hall.
