Blood cover
Released

The final This Mortal Coil album, even more explicitly than the first two, looks to a variety of American sources in particular for its choices of covers this time around, with Gene Clark, Rodney Crowell and Randy California among the older veterans reworked. Blood still sounds like a This Mortal Coil album in the end, hushed, moody and richly textured, with Filigree and Shadow returnees like the Rutowski sisters joined by Shelleyan Orphan’s Caroline Crawley, as well as, on a cover of Chris Bell’s “You and Your Sister,” Kim Deal and Tanya Donnelly.
