You Never Know

Released

On their third album You Never Know, Flyying Colours continue to show why they’re one of the 21st century’s best bands with a shoegaze bent. The shimmering crush of guitars that emerges after the first verse of the opening “Lost Then Found” helps set the tone, but so does their ear for electronics and motorik rhythms, while the album’s quick feeling – outside of the opener, none of the songs are over four minutes – means songs like the exultant “Do You Feel the Same?,” “Goodbye To Music” and “I Live In A Small Town” all hit swiftly and beautifully.
