Bubblegum Crisis

One of the most influential cyberpunk anime series, Bubblegum Crisis spawned eight soundtracks – one for each episode that aired. The first may be the most iconic, with high-energy opener “Kon’Ya Wa Hurricane” (sung by Kinuko Ohmori) a city pop classic. The other songs on this volume range from bubblefunk to proto-darksynth, at times adding Akira-style unusual percussion. Even the alternate and instrumental versions of the vocal tracks bring new dimensions to the Knight Sabers’ never-ending battle against the Boomer menace.
