Continuing their kitschy run through sample-friendly downtempo electronic music, Corridos Pesados finds Cholula Dans Division delving deeper into catchy melodies. Vocoder-heavy vocals often provide hooks, as is the case of “Ojos indios,” while tracks like “Minimono” flirt with acid house. “Sheetara” brings the noise in the style of Add (N) To X, while “Helado” keeps the distortion up while concentrating on the groove. Bringing things to a close is a synthpoppy Spanish version of Suicide’s “Dream Baby Dream.”
