Despite Koze’s bona fides — a figurehead for minimal in the post-2000s sense and also a disco fanatic — this is far from a dance mix. It’s meant for melt-in-your-ears listening. The Boards of Canada/cLOUDDEAD combo is as much a keynote as anything here, including its “Day in the Life”-parody closing chord — airy, pretty, epic, nonchalant. William Shatner candidly intoning his late-life crises over spare, woody orchestration is another keynote candidate. Enjoy that velvet cushion.
