New York house team Sam Walker and Gavin Royce’s contribution to the Electronic Groove podcast, from May 2015, grabs from that period’s obvious big-room house labels: Dirtybird, Loaded, Turbo, Crosstown Rebels. But they play them in a way that feels invigorating rather than de rigueur — an enjoyable summer’s-coming session, though it’s true that the canted bass lines can be pretty samey.
