Doomsday Survival Kit

Lebanese and Swiss production duo Praed build on the repetitive beats and hypnotic structures of Egyptian shaabi and the more traditional trance style mouled to construct the four expansive, psychedelic compositions on Doomsday Survival Kit, their fourth album.  But while being firmly rooted in popular and street music, Swiss clarinetist, bassist and composer Paed Conca and Lebanese keyboardist, bassist and multi-media artist Raed Yassin bring in sounds and techniques from classical and avante-garde music,  weaving epic trance odysseys that feel like they could, and maybe should, go on forever.
