Greatest Hits I, II & III: The Platinum Collection

Released

A compilation of Queen’s separate greatest hits albums from 1981, 1991 and 1999, The Platinum Collection is perhaps almost too exhaustive in ways – the 1999 disc served as a catchall of scattered tracks including various Freddie Mercury solo efforts and remixes after his passing. But it really does serve as an overview of every major Queen hit start to stop, the way that they were most often heard given their massive commercial success, and absolutely makes the case for their abilities to try many different approaches while still just being themselves.
