Hungry For Stink

L7

Released

While L7 didn’t quite get the same level of deserved attention with their followup to Bricks Are Heavy, Hungry For Stink was an excellent continuation of what they’d established: shred-edged thick-sounding riffs but with hooks that weren’t glossy and lyrical points of view still too rare in a dude-centric industry. Lead single “Andres” was a bit of a minor miracle, an emotional apology to a friend that was still a blasting stomp, while a great revamp of the Cosmic Psychos’ “Lost Cause” as “Fuel My Fire” was itself redone by the Prodigy for The Fat of the Land soon after.
