John Peel Sessions

The Chameleons proved to be solid guests for various UK radio sessions during the 1980s, including three separate performances for the doyen of the BBC, John Peel, across the first half of the decade. Drawing on songs from their first two albums and associated singles, including the relative rarity “Things I Wish I’d Said,” the Chameleons produced commanding performances almost song for song, especially offsetting what some felt had been a little too much studio production on various What Does Anything Mean? numbers with crisp, remarkably strong energy.
