At the time of his absolute heyday, Gary Numan released two limited edition albums from shows in 1979 and 1980; years later an extensive CD reissue of his catalog added this further effort from 1981 which arguably was the strongest of them all, a remarkable live release. Recorded post-Telekon and pre-Dance, it’s arguably his last imperial moment courtesy of a crackerjack performance by him and his band at Wembley Arena, electro-rock of the best sort, plus an adoring crowd that gives even deep cuts like “Please Push No More” huge love.
