The wonderful 1995 debut from Ashley Beedle, DJ/producer Dave Hill, musician/composer Uschi Classen and UK DJs Rocky & Diesel is packed with classy blunted beats, dusty breaks, jazzy drum & bass, Latin, dub, soundtrackesque jams and more. Channelling their various musical roots, LHS has both lush and raw moments, its mood sometimes frantic, sometimes eerily calm. 

As dance music exploded in the mid-90s, LHS stood out as an album that was more than just a collection of club tracks, but a cohesive whole that worked well together as a home listening experience, setting a bar that many mid-table trip-hop/chill out acts would struggle to reach.
