Lookin’ Through The Windows

Released

The seventh album from the Jackson 5 was released in spring 1972, and the fact that their first was only released in December 1969 gives you an insight into the incredible work rate at Motown during this period. ‘Lookin’…’ features the familiar Jackson 5 album combination of sugary ballads, kid-soul, straight-up pop and raucous, jubilant soul-funk. The dramatic title track is packed full of memorable vocal and instrumental hooks and ‘Don’t Want To See Tomorrow’, ‘I Can Only Give You Love’ and Don’t Let Your Baby Catch You’ are superb examples of the exuberant uptempo pop-soul that they excelled at.
