Bauhaus’s reputation as live performers, both in their initial existence and the irregular reunion stints since, was understandably high profile, as the slashing, angry energy that braced much of their recorded work reached equally strong levels in the flesh. Press the Eject And Give Me The Tape, released as a free album with The Sky’s Gone Out, then rereleased in its own right, drew from a variety of performances in 1981 and 1982, showing that energy as well as subtler points like a bracing “Hollow Hills” and a drastic rearrangement of “The Man With X-Ray Eyes.”
