Reek of Putrefaction

The second most important band to emerge from Liverpool, bar none. Large swaths of extreme metal simply would not exist if not for Carcass and bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker’s sister’s medical dictionary. While they’re still slaves to the grind on this, their first release, their ambitions shine through the murky/nonexistent production – Bill Steer’s ripping leads on opening instrumental “Genital Grinder” point towards their future surgical precision.
