Ufo

When someone is waffling on at you about krautrock and kosmische and you feel a bit perplexed by all that Wild Energy coming atcha, play this. My speculation, based on how much I love this, is that albums like UFO have such a hold on people because all the “psych scuzz” or whatever people say about these long fuzzed out instrumentals, is that you can hear a band not worrying, letting time elapse, and that feels eternally and immensely good. The sound is also massive and full of room spatiality and crackly presence. Heavy and tripped out but ultimately chill?
