Tusmørke

2012
Termo Records

Locking Jethro Tull inside the Wicker Man, these Finnish fanatics update folk prog by taking it back to its superstitious roots. These jaunty hymns to the old gods evoke ancient pagan rituals in the way that only Scandinavian psych scholars can: with lots of analog synthesizers and flutes. “Fimbul” lights the kindling, “A Nightmare’s Just a Dream” sets everything ablaze, and “Hostjevndogn” sends the whole conflagration to Goblin’s inferno.
