Why Pay More?

Released

In between Do You Want New Wave… and Why Do the Heathen Rage?, Drew Daniel had embarked on a project called The Soft Pink Tube in 2007, reworking samples found from random videos on the then-still-newish YouTube. Only one song, “Party Pills,” was released at the time, with 2015’s Why Pay More? serving as a digital-release-only completion and collection from that project and various other unreleased songs of the time. For all of this, it’s also one of Soft Pink Truth’s most immediate efforts, an often gleeful rummage through randomness.
