Hailing from Mexico City, Heraldos Negros is one of the country’s harshest and most accomplished noise practitioners. Using analog equipment to achieve ungodly levels of distortion and feedback, the one-man project references everything from first wave industrialists to japanoise fixtures, as well as other corners of the farthest reaches of the underground. The result is an hour-long live improvisation that overloads the ear and never feels dull or self-indulgent.
