Playing music that is equal parts hard-driving and melodic with a slight debt to the start-stop riffage of the noisier end of ‘90s alternative rock, this is a unique pop punk album. The Mexico City outfit plays with cranked-up distortion yet their hooks are pure skate-friendly sugar rush with a slight influence from emotional hardcore. Opener “Buick a monterrey” sets the stage for what’s to follow, while the moody “Espero demasiado” gives a contrasting shade of emotion and gentleness to their sound, switching back and forth for the rest of this remarkable album.
