Bridging together the screamy yet melodic take on the sound from the early ‘90s to its later, indie-influenced iteration, Don’t Try To Forget… delivers charm and lo-fi confidence with big emotions, hooks, and slightly discordant passages, as one can hear in songs like “Threats,” “Because You Rock,” and “Feelings Without Words.”
