Fear, Emptiness, Despair

These enemies of the music business had one brief brush with mainstream success, thanks to leadoff track “Twist the Knife (Slowly)” and its inclusion on the Mortal Kombat (1995) soundtrack. Ironic that it’s from one of their bleakest outings! By grinding groove metal in with their core, their third collection of corrupted harmonies with provocateur Barney Greenway was their most accessible yet – an admittedly relative distinction considering their previous firebombs. It’ll still tear your spine out.
