It’s Only Right and Natural

Released

From the perspective of decades down the line, The Frogs’s 1989 underground breakout album as such, their supposed gay liberation effort It’s Only Right and Natural, seems truly of a time and place, a series of jaw-dropping jokes and scenarios where you almost can’t imagine what’s coming next line for line. Yet it’s also in all how it’s delivered – hooky as hell, sparely recorded but not murkily so, with contrasting yet matched voices of Jimmy and Dennis Flemion. From “I’ve Got Drugs (Out Of The Mist)” to “Been A Month Since I’ve Had a Man,” it’s truly unique.
