Currently (as of 2023) based in Milan after several years living in Bristol, whose music scene he credits for his penchant for deep bass and sound system culture, Piezo makes mutant, intense club music that moves between UK Garage, grime, techno, gqom, and footwork. His sound is exemplified by Odd Hooks, released on his own imprint ANSIA, a collection of heavy wall-shakers that encapsulate everything exciting about the latest wave of global club music. “Big Room Technow” gets off to a skittering start only to transform into a massive four-to-the-floor banger, while “Sensory Overdraw” is a playful, UKG inspired tune bringing back old-school rave vibes into the 21st century.
