Presentimiento

Mondragón started as the solo project of namesake Edgar Mondragón who originally gravitated toward ambient, techno, and similar genres. Expanding to a four-piece band, Mondragón combined electronics and live instrumentation to deliver music that explored mood and texture. Relying on arpeggiated synths and warped sonics, the band layers guitars, bass, and drums on top of this, resulting in a sound that inhabits the spirit of both rave-ready IDM and post rock, with highly evocative tracks like “Austral,” “Imprevisto,” and “Repite” taking a life of their own.
