Ecuador’s Sexores have proven to be musical chameleons of the highest order. They explore synthpop on East / West, adding robotic elegance and melody to their music as well as plenty of nods to Eighties pop. “Bluish Lovers” is groovy and melodic while keeping their ethereal mysticism intact, “The City That Sorrow Built” approaches Chromatics territory, and “Berlin” is like  a hit single from an alternate universe. The result is an album of catchy but slightly dark songs.
