Inventions for the New Season

If you love the parts of Pink Floyd’s The Wall where the musicians run like hell, well, so do Maserati. New drummer Jerry Fuchs added aftermarket parts like motorik groove and space rock swooshes to their already-powerful post-rock engine that let them switch into entirely new gears. Fuchs tragically died before they could complete their next album – although they’ve certainly done some excellent work since – but his one full-length with the band still fires on all cylinders (and other car metaphors).
