The dogged persistence of the Comsat Angels paid off again when, in the middle of grunge and other styles temporarily putting their general sonic approach out of fashion, and for the first time releasing an album without major label support, they just went ahead and pulled off another absolute classic. Starting with the easy glam-tinged flow of “Driving,” Stephen Fellows’s voice retaining the best of his moody power, the group nails an assured energy and command song for song, the murmuring kick and flow of “I Come From the Sun” being especially notable.
