El Ahorcado
Released
Hailing from the desert plains of Northern Mexico, El Ahorcado’s doomy, sludgy, and extremely heavy music feels like second nature to their surroundings. Riffs come at a very slow pace throughout this self-titled album, often approaching and even leaving behind the 10-minute mark, yet their foggy and vicious atmosphere is enough to keep listeners hooked. “The End Of It All” starts in a sort of twisted doomy blues shuffle before slowing to a crawl, while vocals alternating between shrieking, grunting, and crooning makes “A New Dusk” a clear highlight.
