Gravity Works

Combining their fascination with thick and slow riffs with space exploration and sci-fi, Vinnum Sabbathi’s take on stoner doom metal results in an evocative and atmospheric epic. Songs like “Weightlessness” play with dynamics as much as possible while leaving large sections to build mood and tension; on the other hand, tracks like “Gravity Waves” rock out with sludgy riffing to give us a headbanging good time. The Mexico City quartet succeeded by adhering to their genre of choice while adding small pockets of innovation to the mix.
