René Pawlowitz’s program as Head High (as opposed to his many other aliases, such as Wax and Shed) was late-Eighties/early-Nineties East Coast house redux with sharply drawn flourishes. That’s true of his production work as well as this fourteen-song selection, from April 2015, which blends vintage tracks by Shake and Jovonn with the likes of Head High’s own version of Steffi & Virginia’s “Yours.”
