Rebirth

"Consortium” describes their sound well: Blue Oyster Cult, the Who, Uriah Heep, the Doobie Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and even classic R&B flourishes show up in “Hold on Tightly,” “It’s Not Easy,” and “I’m Dying.” They take those obvious touchstones and make them their own. One of those 70s rock albums that fell so deep through the cracks that it never even got released back in the day, Rebirth captures the sheer pleasure of listening to an impeccably programmed classic rock radio station except you haven’t heard all the songs a million times.
